I love pieces with a story - and this one is no exception. Painted by Florence Garrett-Bacon, or “Auntie Florence”, for her niece Edith in 1960, this original oil-on-board depicts the glassy waters of Lough Neagh, Ireland’s largest lake. There are so many sweet details in this painting - the flock of ducks flying low to the water, the rippled reflection of the castle in the distance, the puffy clouds and slivers of blue sky between. The elegant white and gold frame perfectly complements the scene.

Size: 19.25”w x 15.25”h

Condition: Frame has some minor wear to the paint and a few scrapes, but overall in excellent condition for being 63 years old!

Hanging mechanism: Wire on back.
