The visage of a beloved cat named Mr. Bojangles, captured in charcoal by registered Canadian artist Ruth Tye McKenzie in 1976. This original sketch is beautifully framed and matted and would be the perfect addition to any cat-lover’s home. The same artist also created the charcoal portrait of dog “Jude” seen in the last photos - the two of these would make a lovely pair!

Ruth Tye Mackenzie (1929- ) was born in Edmonton and attended the Ontario College of Art. She lived in Dundas, ON, before moving to Thunder Bay in 1976 where she later opened the Painted Turtle Art Shop. Her work has been exhibited across Ontario in both solo and group exhibitions.

Size: 16.25”w x 17.75”h

Condition: Frame has some wear to the paint consistent with age. Paper has a small amount of buckling under the frame.

Hanging mechanism: Wire on back.
